What to Know About the 2024 Nissan Altima

A modern design

The Nissan Altima received a mid-cycle refresh last year that made it one of the most modern-looking vehicles in its segment, something which still holds true for the 2024 model year. This revised appearance starts are the front grille which embodies the latest iteration of the brand’s V-Motion design language. On SR grade models, this new grille features a black mesh design that is accented with dark chrome trim for a distinctive look that highlights these model’s sporty character. LED headlamps have also been modernized and now include LED turn signals within the daytime-running lights, giving a more up-to-date appearance to every model of the Altima. Inside, the dashboard benefits from a more premium-looking finish while cloth seats on the SR version receive a new stitching pattern. New 19-inch alloy wheels for the SR and Platinum models as well as an additional paint colour were all part of last year’s refresh.

Advanced technology features

The 2024 Nissan Altima benefits from all of the latest infotainment and driver assistance features that Nissan has to offer. For example, a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen replaces the previous 8-inch unit and adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easier to access the infotainment system while giving the interior a more technological appearance. Available Nissan Connect services extend the capabilities of the Altima by giving you access to many functions such as door locks and remote start directly on your phone or your smartwatch. This system also includes the built-in Alexa system that acts as your personal assistant while out on the road as well as an available Bose premium sound system. In terms of driver assistance, the Altima offers the advanced ProPILOT suite of technologies as standard starting from the SR grade, including features such as dynamic cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and forward collision warning with emergency braking, among others.

An efficient and capable drivetrain

The 2024 Nissan Altima comes standard with an efficient and capable powertrain that combines a proven engine, an efficient transmission, and a state-of-the-art all-wheel drive system. Indeed, the Altima features a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that has proven its worth in various Nissan models over the years. Modernized by the addition of direct injection, this engine delivers 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels via the latest generation of the Xtronic CVT transmission and Intelligent all-wheel drive system which can split power evenly between both axles. This results in impressive winter driving capabilities and a fuel consumption of only 6,5 L/100 km on the highway.
