What is There to Know About NissanConnect?

Nissan vehicles benefit from all of the latest connectivity technologies on the market, many of which are included in a package known as NissanConnect. Here is what you should know about these advanced features.

A way to stay connected while out on the road

NissanConnect connected services allow you to use many of your phone’s features directly in your car’s infotainment system while out on the road. Of course, NissanConnect includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, but it also includes the capability to make your Nissan into a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot that allows you and your passengers to access the internet from anywhere. Voice-activated calling and texting also make it safe and convenient to stay in touch with your friends and family even when you are driving.

Elevated convenience

What drivers appreciate most about NissanConnect is the way in which it makes life easier and more convenient. This is exemplified by the remote connect feature that gives you control over some of the vehicle’s features directly from your phone, such as locking, unlocking, and remote start, no matter how far away you are from your Nissan. Your MYNissan app can also notify you when your vehicle is due for service, making it easier to schedule an appointment at our service department. Another useful feature included in NissanConnect is the MyCar finder, a function that indicates exactly where your vehicle is, a great help when parking in a busy lot. Unique EV features are also included on the LEAF and Ariya electric models, such as control over the cabin temperature.

Keeping you safe at all times

NissanConnect isn’t limited to making your vehicle more convenient, it can also make it safer for everyone on board. Indeed, some of the features included in NissanConnect are engineered specifically to ensure your safety in the case of an accident. For example, the infotainment system in your vehicle can automatically launch a call to emergency services when it detects an accident. This helps make sure you or your passengers can receive medical assistance as soon as possible in the unfortunate event of a collision. If you witness an event that requires the help of emergency personnel, you can press the SOS button on the ceiling of your vehicle at any time to reach the appropriate service. If a problem arises with your Nissan vehicle when you are away from home, you can also use NissanConnect to reach 24/7 roadside assistance.
