Nissan Rogue Gets Hands-Free Driving, Google Integration for 2025 Model Year

The 2025 Nissan Rogue will hit the roads this fall. It will introduce groundbreaking driver assistance technology and enhanced connectivity features. This latest iteration of Nissan's popular compact SUV promises to elevate the driving experience with its cutting-edge innovations.

At the forefront of the 2025 Rogue's technological advancements is the debut of ProPILOT Assist 2.1, a first for Nissan in Canada. This state-of-the-art system allows for hands-off single-lane freeway driving, providing attentive drivers with unprecedented ease and comfort on long journeys. Available on the Rogue Platinum model, ProPILOT Assist 2.1 seamlessly handles acceleration, steering assistance, and braking, marking a significant leap forward in autonomous driving capabilities.

Complementing the advanced driver assistance features is the new 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, equipped with Front Wide View and Invisible Hood View technologies. This innovative system offers drivers a 360-degree perspective around the vehicle, with the ability to rotate the view in 3D. The addition of Front Wide View provides a 176-degree perspective, perfect for navigating tight spaces, while the Invisible Hood View utilizes advanced image processing to display the area beneath the engine bay, enhancing safety during challenging maneuvers.

Safety remains a top priority for Nissan, with all Rogue grades featuring the standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 system. This comprehensive suite includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, among other critical safety features.

The 2025 Rogue also embraces the future of in-car connectivity with the integration of Google built-in. This feature, available on SL and Platinum models, offers seamless access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and other Google Play apps directly through the vehicle's 12.3-inch touchscreen. For those who prefer Apple devices, wireless Apple CarPlay is also available, alongside wireless Android Auto compatibility and a convenient wireless charging pad.

Under the hood, the 2025 Rogue continues to impress with its 1.5-liter Variable Compression Turbo engine, delivering a potent 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. This powerplant, combined with standard Idle Stop/Start technology, contributes to the Rogue's class-leading fuel economy in the compact SUV segment.

As anticipation builds for the 2025 Nissan Rogue's arrival in dealerships later this fall, we encourage you to stay tuned for pricing information, which will be announced closer to the launch date.
