Nissan Kicks 2023 vs. Hyundai Venue 2023 - Two small SUVs designed for city life

The all-new Nissan Kicks takes generations of SUV design know-how and puts it into a revolutionary compact platform. The little Kicks has also undergone a redesign in recent years that has modernized the Nissan small SUV while bringing more technology and even more reasons to consider the Nissan small SUV.

With the Kicks, we get an affordable, fuel-efficient vehicle that offers a lot of advanced technology and most importantly, a lot of space in a compact, easy to drive around town format. There are few models that compete directly with the Kicks, but Hyundai's Venue is an example. Here, we compare the two small SUVs to see if there's one that might be a better fit for you.

The 2023 Nissan Kicks offers better performance and efficiency

The Nissan Kicks 2023 comes standard with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. This engine is similar to what is found in the Venue, which also offers a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. That said, the Kicks with its standard continuously variable automatic transmission offers better performance while being more fuel efficient.

The Kicks averages 7.7 L/100 km in the city and 6.6 L/100 km on the highway, while the Venue averages 7.9 L/100 km in the city and 6.9 L/100 km on the highway.

The 2023 Nissan Kicks is much more spacious

The Kicks has a versatile interior that adapts to your needs while keeping occupants comfortable. With a generous equipment list, the Kicks stays true to its SUV roots. It provides 716 liters of volume behind the rear seats, nearly 200 liters more than the Venue.

Passenger comfort is also important. In the rear, they enjoy a significant increase in front headroom, nearly 2 cm more clearance in the Kicks than in the Venue.
