Nissan ARIYA drivers gain access to Tesla's network of charging stations

The electric vehicle charging landscape in Canada continues to improve with a new collaboration between Nissan and Tesla. Since December 10, drivers of the Nissan ARIYA have had access to Tesla's extensive network of Superchargers. This initiative aims to enhance convenience and accessibility for Nissan electric vehicle owners, while reducing barriers to public charging.

Significant expansion of the NISSAN ENERGY network

With the addition of the 17,800 Tesla Superchargers, the NISSAN ENERGY charging network reaches an impressive total of 100,000 public charging stations in the United States and 25,000 in Canada. This collaboration expands charging options for Nissan ARIYA owners, giving them greater freedom on the road.

To access Tesla Superchargers, drivers will need to use a special adapter kit compatible with the North American Charging Standard (NACS). Available for 309.99 CAD, this adapter can be ordered online at Nissan.ca or directly from Nissan dealers. By 2025, Nissan plans to integrate NACS ports directly into its models for the Canadian and American markets.

Simplified management with the MyNISSAN application

The MyNISSAN application offers an intuitive interface for Nissan ARIYA owners. It allows them to locate available charging stations in real time, track charging status and pay easily. Thanks to this application, the whole recharging process becomes simpler and more efficient. Users can save a default payment method, making the experience at the station even easier.

It should be noted that this advanced functionality is not currently available to Nissan LEAF owners. However, they can continue to use the NissanConnect EV and Services or Nissan LEAF Canada applications to find compatible charging stations.

A complete offer for electric drivers

In addition to the Tesla Supercharger network, the NISSAN ENERGY network provides access to several other charging providers, including ChargeHub, Shell Recharge, FLO, ChargePoint, Circuit Électrique, BC Hydro and IVY in Canada. This diversity ensures that drivers can find a charging solution to suit their needs, regardless of their location.

In the USA, access also includes networks such as Electrify America, EVgo and Shell Recharge. This collaboration between several major players in the sector is part of a drive to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by reducing the inconvenience associated with recharging.

The addition of Tesla Superchargers to the NISSAN ENERGY network represents an important milestone for Nissan ARIYA drivers. This initiative, combined with an intuitive application and a wide choice of charging stations, simplifies the experience for electric vehicle owners. By focusing on practical solutions and a robust infrastructure, Nissan confirms its commitment to electric mobility and customer comfort. Drivers can now look forward to their journeys with even greater peace of mind.
