Nissan Announces Pricing for 2023 Z

When it comes to the most highly sought-after vehicles coming to market for 2023, it doesn’t come much more eagerly anticipated than the Nissan Z. After all: the Z has meant accessible performance to the everyman for decades upon decades and whenever something with that much pedigree reaches the next stage of its evolution, it tends to be a pretty big deal.

"The Nissan Z is our company's heart and soul, bringing sports car design, performance and excitement to a broad range of buyers, starting with the introduction of the first generation more than 50 years ago," said Ken Hearn, Director of Marketing, Nissan Canada Inc. "With a starting MSRP of $46,498 CAD, this latest version is ready to create a whole new generation of Nissan Z fans when it comes to market this summer."

That’s all well and good, but the question on many a potential Z-person’s mind these days is just how much it’s going to cost to get the keys to one of these Zees. Lucy for us, Nissan has decided to oblige us by announcing the pricing for the entire line-up of the 2023 Z. That’s a line-up that counts three trims – Sport, Performance and Proto Spec – each with the choice of either a six-speed manual transmission or paddle-actuated nine-speed auto. All models get a twin-turbo V6 motor good for 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, four-wheel disc brakes and aluminum wheels.

The base Sport model starts at $46,498, which expands to $47,998 when you spec the auto ‘box. Upgrading to the Performance model will run $58,498 with a clutch pedal and $59,998 without, while a full-bore Proto Spec car with a manual ‘box runs $64,248 and $65,748 with the auto. For it part, Proto Spec adds yellow brake calipers, bronze wheels, yellow interior trim, special suede seat inserts and a specialized plaque.
