Modern Truck, Retro Style: 2024 Frontier Starts at $46,998

Midsize truck buyers are in for a treat with the arrival of the 2024 Nissan Frontier. This tough and tech-savvy pickup is bringing equal measures of retro style and modern performance to the segment, led by the eye-catching new Hardbody Edition. With a starting MSRP of $46,998, the 2024 Frontier promises to check all the boxes for active truck lovers.

The Hardbody Edition ($49,998) is sure to be an instant classic, borrowing iconic design cues from Nissan's original compact Hardbody truck that took the world by storm in the 1980s. With vintage-inspired wheels, bold decal graphics, a sporty cab-mounted sport bar, and classic black trim elements, this Frontier variant looks like it drove straight out of that era and onto today's roads and trails.

"We took some of those design elements and modernized them. Even if you don't recognize or remember the original Hardbody, you're still going to say, ‘That's a cool truck,'" said Hiren Patel, Nissan's project lead designer. Underneath those retro-flavoured looks is a fully capable midsize truck boasting serious performance hardware.

All 2024 Frontier models including the Hardbody come equipped with a punchy 310 horsepower 3.8L V6, a stout 9-speed automatic transmission, and an advanced 4-wheel-drive system with selectable terrain modes. When properly equipped, the Frontier can tow up to an impressive 6,260 lbs. For tackling tough off-road adventures, the PRO-4X models (from $51,998) add even more fortification like Bilstein shocks, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential.

While the Hardbody Edition is pulling out all the nostalgic stops in the design department, another new 2024 Frontier model aims to provide a more upscale midsize truck experience. The SL grade ($49,498) caters to buyers who want an extra helping of premium features like leather seating, LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a thumping 10-speaker Fender audio system.

No matter which 2024 Frontier you choose, you'll enjoy a long list of modern tech that makes every drive more convenient and connected. Standard smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto keeps you synced, while available NissanConnect Services provide remote vehicle access and monitoring through your MyNISSAN app. For added safety, every Frontier includes Nissan's comprehensive Safety Shield 360 suite.

With stylish new offerings like the retro-inspired Hardbody Edition, the more premium SL grade, and a range of capability and pricing to suit any midsize truck buyer's needs, the adventure-ready 2024 Frontier is ready to make a big splash. By cleverly fusing nostalgic design flourishes with cutting-edge performance and technology, this boldly updated pickup lineup promises to turn heads while still delivering the rugged capability truck fans demand.
