A Look at the Towing Capacity of 2023 Nissan SUVs

For 2023, Nissan offers a multitude of SUVs that can tow more than you might think. Here is a look at the towing capacity of every 2023 Nissan SUV.

The Rogue

The 2023 Nissan Rogue is the best-selling Nissan model for many reasons, among which is its towing capacity. Indeed, the entry-level S version is capable of towing up to 1,350 pounds (612 kilograms), which makes it able to pull small trailers filled with gardening equipment, furniture, or even an ATV. The other trim levels in the Rogue lineup are even capable of pulling more, with a rated capacity set at 1,500 pounds (680 kilograms).

The Murano

The 2023 Nissan Murano is a great choice for buyers who want a comfortable vehicle to take on long road trips where towing might sometimes be necessary. This is why the Murano is able to tow the same weight as the up-level Rogue versions, meaning drivers can attach a trailer weighing up to 1,500 pounds (680 kilograms).

The Ariya

The 2023 Nissan Ariya is the brand’s first electric SUV and its most technologically advanced vehicle to date. This is evident in its all-wheel drive electric powertrain, which can deliver up to 389 horsepower and an instant delivery of torque. This makes the Ariya capable of towing up to 1,500 pounds (680 kilograms) with ease, even on hills or slippery roads. Towing is not recommended with the standard single-motor powertrain.

The Pathfinder

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is a very practical SUV due to its third row of seats, its generous cargo space, and its towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds (2,722 kilograms). This capacity, available for every model except the entry-level S version, is due to the 3.5L V6 engine and the new 9-speed automatic transmission that replaced the previous CVT unit when the Pathfinder was refreshed in 2022. The Pathfinder S can still tow a very useful 3,500 pounds (1,587 kilograms). This makes the Pathfinder an ideal choice for families who like to go on camping holidays with a small travel trailer.

The Armada

The most capable of the 2023 Nissan SUVs is the Armada, a large body-on-frame SUV based on the Titan pickup. Due to its strong frame and its powerful V8 engine, the Armada can tow weights up to 8,500 pounds (3,856 kilograms) in every version. This makes it able to tow larger travel trailers, horse trailers, or even a boat with ease.

It is not recommended to tow with the 2023 Nissan Kicks or the 2023 Nissan Qashqai.
