A Look at the 2023 Nissan SUV Lineup

SUVs are some of the most popular vehicles on Canadian roads and Nissan has seven different models to offer, ensuring anyone can find what they are looking for in a new SUV. Here is a look at these seven models.

Kicks

The 2023 Nissan Kicks is the smallest SUV in the Nissan lineup and also the most affordable. Its compact exterior dimensions help make the Kicks very agile around town and easy to park while its upright shape gives it more cargo and passenger room than you might think. The Kicks can be equipped with a long list of features such as an 8-speaker Bose audio system, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning. The Kicks is also very efficient since it only needs 6.6 litres to go 100 kilometres on the highway.

Qashqai

Those who need a little more space but still want an SUV that is well-suited to city driving should look at the 2023 Nissan Qashqai. Second in terms of size and price in the brand’s lineup, this model is the first to offer an available all-wheel drive system. This makes the Qashqai very stable and safe on slippery roads while barely affecting its fuel efficiency, with a highway consumption figure of only 7.5L per 100 km with the AWD or 7.3L per 100 km without. Key features which can be found in this model include the ProPILOT Assist system and a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Rogue

The Rogue has been the best-selling Nissan model in Canada for many years and the 2023 version will be no different thanks to a long list of standard and available features as well as a modern 3-cylinder engine. This powertrain is standard on every version except the entry-level S model, and it delivers more power and more torque than the previous 4-cylinder engine it replaces. Furthermore, it contributes to reducing the Rogue’s fuel consumption to only 6.7 L/100 km on the highway. Technologies found on the Rogue include front and rear parking sensors, the ProPILOT Assist system, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Murano

The 2023 Nissan Murano is a different kind of SUV that is aimed at buyers who want comfort and refinement first. Indeed, this is why the Murano benefits from comfortable and supportive Zero-Gravity seats, a compliant suspension, and a smooth V6 engine. Combined with technologies such as adaptive cruise control, an available 11-speaker Bose sound system, and a generous amount of luggage space, this makes the Murano a great choice for frequent road trips on the highway, where its powerful engine only requires 8.5 litres per 100 kilometres.

Pathfinder

If you need to transport very large objects or up to eight passengers, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder could be the best match for you. This model was completely reworked last year and it continues to be modern and capable due to its long list of comfort and convenience technologies as well as its revised powertrain. Indeed, the new Pathfinder is equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 3.5L V6 engine which allows it to tow up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped, thus making family camping vacations an attractive possibility.

Armada

If you are serious about towing and you want an SUV that stands out, the 2023 Armada could be made for you. This large three-row SUV is the most expensive Nissan SUV in Canada and also the most capable due to its powerful V8 engine and its solid body-on-frame construction. This allows the Armada to pull trailers weighing up to 8,500 pounds with ease while its generous cabin can hold 2,701 litres of cargo when both the rear and middle rows of seats are folded. The 2023 Nissan Armada is also an exclusive vehicle which guarantees you will stand out from the crowd anywhere you go.

Ariya

The 2023 Nissan Ariya is not the largest nor the most expensive Nissan model, but it is certainly the most advanced. Indeed, the Ariya is the first from a new generation of electric vehicles from Nissan which will arrive in the coming years. This electric SUV features many advanced technologies such as a version of the ProPILOT Assist system which supports autonomous lane changes and the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Of course, the most important technologies in the Ariya are found under the hood, where you have a choice between a 66 and a 91-kWh battery as well as front or all-wheel drive. Depending on your choices, the Ariya can offer up to 389 horsepower and 490 kilometres of range.
